Out Of The Blue, by Simon Armitage

After watching the filmed reading of the poem (accessible via the following URL: Out of the Blue, Film Interpretation) the students explored some of the language devices that made it such an affecting thing to watch and listen to.

Their task (as outlined below) is to write a paragraph that explores how one of the features they discovered strengthens the poem.
